A team game report: GF 3-1 Broadalbin-Perth

Friday September 28
Glens Falls 3-1 Broadalbin-Perth

Glens Falls came from behind with three second half goals to beat Broadalbin-Perth 3-1. The A team struggled to gain any rhythm in the first half against a talented BP squad. BP scored a goal shortly before halftime to take a 1-0 lead in the interval. However, the Indians came roaring out in the 2nd half and did a much better job of spreading the field out and scored almost immediately. In the first minute after the break, Matt Parsons played a ball to Jake Jacobs who made a nice little flick to Carl Sopczyk who slotted past the keeper to equalize. This goal marked Sopczyk's 15th career modified goal, breaking the A team record. The Indians piled on the pressure in the 4th quarter, generating 8 shots on net. Midway through the quarter, Taylor DelSignore played a through ball to Sopczyk who crossed to Nate Spilman who crushed the ball into the net. Spilman sealed the game late as he scored off another Sopczyk assist. A solid second half for Glens Falls, though they'll need to play well for 60 minutes against South High on Monday.
