The rules of soccer

  • FIFA's Laws of the Game: these are the rules of soccer that generally apply to the sport everywhere in the world
  • National Federation of High Schools (NFHS): has specific exceptions relating to US scholastic soccer
  • NYSPHSAA: the state athletic association which has exceptions to the above rules which apply only to modified soccer. Click on 'Rules & Regs' and then 'NYSPHSAA Modified Program Sports Standards'
